Our residents at Fir Tree Lodge, our supported living care service in Surrey, have been spreading festive joy for their first-ever Christmas at the service by decorating Christmas trees, singing Christmas carols, and hosting a Christmas party!

Recently the residents at Fir Tree Lodge suggested having a Christmas tree in the communal garden area. The team took the residents idea on board and purchased a Christmas tree. The beautiful tree was decorated in silver and blue. The residents and staff love seeing the garden lit up with the bright sparkling tree.

The service also hosted a Christmas party where one of the talented residents, Daniel, played Christmas carols on his piano for residents to sing along to and enjoy.

Daniel reads music but will often just listen to music to teach himself to play by sound alone. Daniel plays on many other occasions including weddings, and has his own business cards.

Sara Jane McCague, Dual Service Manager at Fir Tree Lodge, said: “It was a great evening as we all sat around eating and singing Christmas carols played by Daniel.”

Well done to everyone at Fir Tree Lodge for making their first Christmas so special!
