Annie Booth, our Operations Director for the North West and Scotland Region, recently completed a Memory Walk for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Annie tells her story:

“I completed a Memory Walk in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society at Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire. It was the perfect setting and a fabulous place to do a sponsored walk – it has woodlands, a lake and a majestic deer herd. Up to now I have raised £560 – thanks to everyone who has donated and sponsored me.

“My Dad is currently living with Alzheimer’s, so it’s a special cause to me. I did the walk alone, put my dad’s favourite songs on my phone to listen to whilst walking and to keep up a good pace too – he loves Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond and it’s a Stoke City FC favourite. My dad enjoyed football, and we still keep him updated with Stoke City’s weekly match results.

“Every step I walked was for Dad and I took the time to remember all the lovely memories we have. My hope is to make more with him in the future.”
