We’re pleased to announce our new specialist complex care residential service for children, Applewood Lodge, will be opening in 2025.
Located in Staffordshire, the 4-bed service for children up to the age of 18 will provide 24-hour care, allowing children to develop their social and educational needs in a secure, safe environment. The team, consisting of a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Team Leaders and Support Workers, will care for children with Asperger’s syndrome, autism, Down’s syndrome, ADHD, epilepsy, and other complex conditions.
Applewood Lodge will be regulated by Ofsted, ensuring it meets the expectations of excellence in care, safeguarding, and support. Whilst living at Applewood Lodge, children will be encouraged to attend school during their stay, wherever possible, and to join in on fun day trips out to wherever their interests may lie!
Active Care Group Chief Executive Officer Keith Browner said, “It is a pleasure to announce the opening of our new service for children. Applewood Lodge will deliver trauma-informed care, meaning children will be cared for with sensitivity, understanding and respect. I’m delighted with this development in our journey to provide outstanding care for more people.”
We are also very proud to share that the name of the service has been chosen by the children at our other residential services within Active Care Group.
