Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, our service in London providing care for patients with brain injuries or neurological conditions, recently celebrated Satnam’s inspiring recovery.

Satnam enjoyed an active lifestyle, walking 5-6 miles daily. However, while abroad, his worsening hip pain and mobility issues eventually required him to use a wheelchair.

Upon his return, he was referred from the local hospital to Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, as he could not walk or perform daily tasks. Satnam was determined to be mobile and be with his family again.

Satnam has achieved his rehabilitation goals through hard work, personalised therapy such as Physiotherapy and Occupational Health five times a week, and support from Blackheath’s multidisciplinary team. He recently left the hospital, walking with a stick, able to care for himself and return home to his family.

Beyond his physical recovery, Satnam’s artistic talents have been a source of inspiration. Drawing has been Satnam’s hobby for many years, and he used his time at Blackheath to get creative.

Alongside the famous faces, a series of beautiful drawings have been displayed in the hospital, brightening the space for patients and staff alike.

Everyone at Active Care Group wishes Satnam all the best for the future!
