Welcome to Remeo our respiratory specialist
Remeo aims to improve the quality of life for people with complex respiratory ventilation requirements, through achieving the highest standard of specialist patient care.
In 2014, in partnership with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, Remeo opened our first specialist centre in Redhill, Surrey. The Lane Fox Remeo Respiratory Centre is a 20-bedded award winning centre for complex respiratory patients.
The Lane Fox Remeo service specialises in long-term respiratory support, both non-invasive ventilation and invasive ventilation, and in ‘weaning’ patients from invasive mechanical ventilation. Since opening, we have cared for around 400 NHS patients.
In 2017, Remeo started delivering community care for people requiring specialised respiratory support.
In 2019, we joined the Active Care Group, and now form part of a leading national provider of complex care, with a uniquely cohesive capability to deliver care services across case management, residential and supported living settings, and complex care in the home in the UK.
The Remeo respiratory specialist team
At Remeo you are surrounded by specialist multidisciplinary clinicians who love what they do. Our team are compassionate and strive to deliver the best quality patient focused care.
When facing challenges, they work as a team to find the best solutions for our patients and their families and carers. Equally we are aware of our responsibility towards the well-being and safety of our employees within the workplace.
Our nurses have a clear understanding of their role and their responsibility as individual practitioners and within the team.
We continually monitor the delivery of our services and actively work to improve the quality of care to deliver caring clinical environments of excellence.
Shared learning is vital for success in quality improvement and we engage with a number of Clinical Governance forums including Guy’s and St Thomas’ and within the Active Care Group. We undertake joint education and training, reviewing of incidents, complaints, compliments and risk management.
We regularly undertake surveys amongst our patients, their family members and staff to assess how well we are doing. When it comes to making positive changes and improvements we listen, we engage and we seek other’s views, opinions and experiences to support the decision making processes. We recognise that sometimes it is the small things that make the biggest impact.
Patient safety is paramount and we continually work to minimise risks, learning from both good practice and incidents.
We are proud to say in 2018 we were one of the shortlisted finalists for the Patient Safety Awards in Clinical Governance and Risk Management.
