On Tuesday 19 November, Whittlebury Hall in Northamptonshire hosted the first team conference for our care in the home division, bringing together colleagues for a day of collaboration and celebration. The day started with attendees gathering for registration and coffee, setting the tone for a supportive and interactive day. By noon, guests enjoyed a delicious lunch together before heading into the afternoon’s conference.
Sally Kimberley, Managing Director of care in the home, and Keith Browner Chief Executive Officer of Active Care Group, officially welcomed the attendees, delivering engaging presentations about current performance and strategy, and looking ahead to the future plans of 2025. This was followed by a lively icebreaker challenge that helped spark energy among colleagues.
Amanda Pettit, Director of Learning and Development, and Sharon Davis, Learning and Development Manager, then introduced the main team-building activity. When deciding what to do, Amanda said “Care in the home are building a strong team, we considered how a team that works remotely could spend the day together to learn even more about themselves and each other. Everyone took part in several tasks to discuss their colour energy and how they perform on a good and bad day. Together we discussed how as a team, recognising our differences made us stronger.”.
The care in the home team were also recognised during the afternoon with an awards ceremony.
After a busy day of team building, there was only one place to head to and that was to a night of celebrations! Colleagues gathered for a delicious Oscar-themed dinner, before dancing the night away with a DJ and dancefloor.
Sally reflected on the conference and said “After an incredible year, the whole of the care in the home team came together. So many wonderful memories! I am beyond proud to lead this team within Active Care Group.”.
The event was a resounding success, building stronger connections and leaving everyone energised for the future ahead.
