Oswald House, one of our adult mental health residential services in Lancashire, recently celebrated the grand opening of their new summer house with a vibrant garden party. Bringing together residents and team members for a day filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit. The event, held under sunny skies, featured a beautiful buffet, live music, and a gathering of residents and colleagues from Oswald House, Blackburn Road, and Whalley Road — our other neighbouring adult mental health residential services.
The new summer house, ‘Shedquarters’, a stunning addition to Oswald House’s grounds, was officially opened by Keith Browner, Chief Executive Officer of Active Care Group. In a speech marking the occasion, Keith expressed his enthusiasm for the continued growth and transformation across the group.
“It was an honour to open the new summer house at Oswald House. It is a real privilege watching our transformation unfold and seeing Active Care Group go from strength to strength. The day was fantastic — amazing positivity and energy from everyone involved! Thanks, and well done to the team.”
The garden party was a resounding success, with attendees enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, delicious food, and the chance to talk with colleagues and friends. The live music added to the festive ambiance, making it a memorable day for everyone involved.
The summer house will be a lovely new area for residents, particularly during the warmer months — providing a space to relax and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding gardens. It is also an example of the continued improvement project taking place across Active Care Group to ensure all our residents, tenants and patients have access to the best facilities possible.
