Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre upgraded to ‘Good’ in latest CQC report

Our Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre, has been upgraded to ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following their latest inspection. 

Nottingham Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre specialise in the treatment, care and support of individuals aged 18 and over with physical and cognitive impairments as a result of brain injury or other progressive neurological conditions.

The inspection that took place in November 2024 focused on assessments for Safe and Well-led, rating them both ‘Good’ The service is now rated ‘Good’ across all key lines of enquiry and overall.

The CQC report highlighted several improvements within Safety and Leadership, including how people felt about the care centre and how the CQC observed the workings of the centre. Inspectors highlighted the safety of the environment by stating the service maximises the effectiveness of people’s care and treatment by assessing and reviewing their health, care, wellbeing and communication needs with them. The report specifically noted that residents were being cared for in a clean and safe environment and were treated with dignity and kindness by the staff.

Their commitment to continuous leadership improvement was also a key point in the inspection. The CQC noted processes are in place which meant governance systems were effective in ensuring the service was well-led.
