Fay becomes British National Wheelchair Tennis Doubles Champion
Fay is a Personal Assistant (PA) with Active Assistance. In her day to day role, Fay works as a PA supporting a lady who sustained a head injury and empowers her to live as independent as possible in her own home.
Fay who is ex-army, started playing and competing at wheelchair tennis in 2018, just two weeks before her 43rd Birthday. After just one year, she was ranked UK number 7 and World 118. She now ranks 86th worldwide as a doubles player.
In December 2019, Fay’s hard work paid off as she won her first tournament, to become the British National Wheelchair Tennis Doubles Champion and was also runner up in the Singles Championship, after losing out in a very tight match on a tie break.
Fay is continuing to work really hard on and off the court and hopes to secure sponsorship and to be selected to participate in the next Invictus Games team in Germany in 2022 and potentially the Paralympics in 2024.
