Active Assistance staff took part in a 10k Mud Run to raise funds for a standing frame for Ethos, in Shropshire.
Ethos are hoping to raise £5,000 to buy a standing frame, to enable their clients to stand with the support they need and help with circulation, relieving pressure, hopefully preventing pressure sores as well as providing other benefits.
Ethos is a charity run company that rehabilitates clients with spinal injuries. They have three bungalows around Oswestry.
Active Assistance provide care services to Ethos, discharging direct from The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Hospital, Gobowen, Shropshire.
Karen Schofield, Team Leader at Ethos, said ‘It was great fun and wonderful to raise £700 towards the standing frame for our clients. I am so proud and amazed by the clients at Ethos and the sheer determination they show every day to overcome obstacles in daily life, I just wanted to show them that anything can be achieved and that myself and the amazing team of Personal Assistant’s are willing to help in any way we can.’
