Last week Moorpark Place, our autism and learning disabilities residential service in North Ayrshire, hosted their much-anticipated Annual Achievement Awards, bringing recognition and celebration to the individuals they support and colleagues.
Organised by the dedicated Occupational Therapy Team at Moorpark Place, the Awards ceremony has been honouring individuals’ personal growth and accomplishments for many years.
With a red carpet rolled out, and with family and members of our Executive Team in attendance, the individual we support received their certificates of achievement and golden trophies with pride, recognising their personal goals reached over the past year. This year, the awards added in an extra section to allow their individuals to comment on their own achievements, which really made everyone overflow with pride.
The event is a heartwarming opportunity for the individuals we support to reflect on their progress and for colleagues to celebrate their dedication. Colleagues mentioned that seeing the excitement on everyone’s faces as they walked down the red carpet made the day extra special.
Margaret-Ann Robinson, Registered Manger at Moorpark Place reflected on the day saying, “The team were fabulous, and it really is lovely to see them celebrate our individuals so enthusiastically and warmly. I am so proud of them all.”
The celebration was nothing short of magical and one individual who lives at Moorpark Place summed it up perfectly; “It was a lovely jubbly day.”
With another year of achievements celebrated, the Moorpark Place community now looks ahead to another year of growth and success for the individuals they support.
