We are delighted to announce that Michelle Freeman has been appointed Interim Group Head of Nursing at Active Care Group. She brings over thirty years of nursing expertise and leadership experience to the role, making her an invaluable asset to the organisation.

Michelle has been the Hospital Director at our Lane Fox Remeo Respiratory Centre in Surrey since July 2022. A state-of-the-art facility offering highly specialised care for patients with chronic respiratory conditions. The service provides a unique weaning and long-term ventilation programme to help patients regain their independence.

Before this, she served as Head of Nursing for Remeo UK and Ireland from 2014 to 2022. A registered critical care nurse by background, Michelle qualified in 1990 at St James University Hospital in Leeds. She has since held numerous managerial and leadership roles across NHS hospitals and the independent healthcare sector.

Michelle has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, and patient-focused care throughout her career. Her leadership style is rooted in compassion and a dedication to empowering healthcare teams to achieve excellence in clinical practice.

Commenting on her new role, Michelle said:
