We are delighted to announce that Michelle Freeman has been appointed Interim Group Head of Nursing at Active Care Group. Michelle brings over thirty years of nursing expertise and leadership experience to the role, making her an invaluable asset to the organisation.

Michelle has been the Hospital Director at our Lane Fox Remeo Respiratory Centre in Surrey since July 2022. the purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility offers highly specialised care for patients with chronic respiratory conditions. The service provides a unique weaning and long-term ventilation programme to help patients regain their independence.

Before this, Michelle was Head of Nursing for Remeo UK and Ireland from 2014 to 2022. A registered critical care nurse, Michelle qualified at St James University Hospital in Leeds. Michelle has also had several managerial and leadership roles across NHS hospitals and the independent healthcare sector.

Throughout her career, Michelle has demonstrated a commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, and patient-focused care. Her leadership style is rooted in compassion, and Michelle is dedicated to empowering our teams to achieve excellence in their clinical practice.

Commenting on her new role, Michelle said:
