Moorpark Place is a specialist autism and learning disabilities service

Moorpark Place is truly special and unique, not just because of the setting, but because of the care that is provided to each individual we support. Our community at Moorpark Place consists of 25 individual houses, where the individuals we support have their own home set within the very large grounds.

Each individual we support either has 1:1 staffing or 2:1 staffing, dependent on their needs, who provide daily support with everyday tasks, community activities and increasing independent living skills, in addition to receiving further specialist support from our on-site clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist and Speech and Language Therapist.

There is a communal conservatory, sunken trampoline and swing, plus a walled sensory garden. There are regular community activities and the individuals we support are often seen socialising in the grounds.

Moorpark Place is calm and tranquil and has a large grassed area outside where individuals often walk and many have reported they feel calmer afterwards.

Every individual at Moorpark Place is involved in developing their own care plans and in choosing the way they live their lives. Our ambition at Moorpark Place is to see each individual who enters our care become more confident and independent in their every day activities, allowing them to learn new skills which will enable them to lead the most rewarding of lives. The unique location and accommodation enables individuals to enjoy all aspects of individual living whilst being part of a community.

At Moorpark Place we place the individual at the heart of everything we do. We work with families, key stakeholders and the individuals we
support from the start, so that we can design a personalised care plan that’s aligned with all their needs and preferences to unlock their potential.

We know that offering highly flexible, personalised support can make a difference not just to the individual, but to their family and friends as well. By empowering people to live more independently in our care and to feel happy and safe, we are not only improving their quality of life, but those around them too.
