Person-centred care and rehabilitation enabling people to grow and learn.

Kingly House is a 17-bed residential service in Hinckley, Leicestershire, that provides rehabilitation support to adults with an acquired brain injury or neurological condition.

Our highly trained team enables residents to develop skills, gain independence, and achieve personal goals at their own pace and in ways that suit them.

We create holistic care support plans that are tailored to each resident’s needs which are identified during physical, cognitive, functional, and vocational assessments, as well as behavioural management assessments. By combining a therapeutic approach to recovery with a nurturing environment, residents are enabled to achieve realistic outcomes while being supported to lead a healthy lifestyle and maintain a positive mental wellbeing.

To empower and nurture our residents to feel safe and to live the best life possible during their recovery, our modernised facilities are catered to wheelchair accessible living with appropriate lifts for those who are unable to manage stairs. We have a variety of rooms for differently abled residents, including 12 single bedrooms with accessible en-suite facilities, four standard ensuite bedrooms and one single bed-sit with kitchen facilities for a more independent lifestyle. Our compassionate team ensures all residents are made to feel at ease and happy in their home and will support residents to decorate and personalise their own rooms to reflect their interests and preferences.

Located in a residential street, just a few minutes’ walk away from a thriving market town with convenient transport links, residents are encouraged to access the wider opportunities while our relaxed, homely environment facilitates the highest possible quality of living for all. Residents are supported to welcome family and friends at Kingly House, while meaningful and rewarding outings and activities are organised to provide variety and inspire our residents to explore different environments, learn new skills and spend time together.

We have a veranda that leads into our beautiful garden, and the main lounge is always a hub of activity where residents play games, nurture their creative spirits with crafts or musical activities, or settle down to watch a movie. The dining room also offers an excellent social and leisure space for residents to enjoy and participate in group activities as well as have a chat with family and friends.

Our catering team meets daily nutritional needs with a variety of well-balanced meal options, and residents can develop their own cooking skills or make snacks in our therapy kitchen. When needed, residents can work with occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and other specialists through our sister company, Neural Pathways, on tailored rehabilitation programmes in our spacious therapy room that has a tilt-table. In addition to our registered manager, deputy manager, team leaders and senior support workers, our caring team includes a therapy assistant and activities coordinator, as well as housekeeping and maintenance staff.
