A neurological residential service for people with brain injuries.
Kingly Croft is a six-bed residential house in Hinckley where adults with an acquired brain injury or neurological condition are supported. Our highly trained team works around rehabilitation and enablement, helping residents to develop skills, gain independence, and achieve personal goals at their own pace and in ways that suit them.
We create holistic care support plans that are tailored to each resident’s needs which are identified during physical, cognitive, functional, behavioural, and vocational assessments. By combining a therapeutic approach to recovery and a nurturing environment, residents are enabled to achieve realistic outcomes while being supported to lead a healthy lifestyle.
Rated “Good” by the CQC, Kingly Croft offers a comfortable and modern home where residents are empowered to live the best life possible with a compassionate team that is available onsite 24/7 for whatever residents may need. We use the positive behaviour support framework to help individuals who demonstrate behaviours of concern and to improve quality of life for everyone. Our person-centred approach enables us to comprehensively support residents’ physical and mental wellbeing, while considering residents’ preferences, likes and dislikes, as well as input from family members.
In addition to our registered manager, deputy manager, team leaders and senior support workers, our caring team includes an activities coordinator, therapy assistant and housekeeping staff. When needed, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and other specialist sessions are arranged through our sister company, Neural Pathways at our neighbouring service — Kingly House.
Located in a residential street, just a few minutes’ walk from a bustling market town that has convenient transport links, our residents are encouraged to participate in recreational pursuits and access wider opportunities outside of their home, so that they may develop new skills, experience different environments and situations, while spending time together.
We encourage residents to practice their own cooking skills and make snacks, while being able to choose what they would like to do each day from a variety of meaningful and rewarding activities, such as regular trips to local parks, cafes and restaurants. Other favourite past-times that suit our residents’ interests include bingo, visiting local shops, taking pottery classes, going swimming at the leisure centre, watching movies at the cinema, and being involved with community related events in Hinckley. As well as living in a nurturing communal setting and having the opportunity to discover new personal hobbies, residents are supported to welcome their family and friends at Kingly Croft.
