Neurological rehabilitation allowing people to live rewarding lives.
Hunters Moor accommodates 42 patients requiring neurorehabilitation which may include complex physical rehabilitation needs. Individuals are usually admitted directly from an acute hospital setting or Level 1 rehab setting once they are medically stable. At Hunters Moor, they are able to continue the rehabilitation they were unable to complete whilst in hospital.
Through our person-centred and evidence-based approach to rehabilitation, we aim to maximise independence and recovery whilst equipping people with the skills to return home or to a supported environment.
Individuals and their family work with the MDT (multi-disciplinary team) to set goals around their physical progress, functional abilities, future independence, leisure and work activities and communication.
We’re committed to raising standards and improving outcomes for our patients and have put in place a range of measures to establish a robust and integrated Quality & Governance strategy.
Patients benefit from access to our on-site doctor and neuro-specialist team consisting of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Technicians, specialist Nurses and Rehabilitation Assistants.
