West London
A supported living service providing intensive person-centred care.
Gunnersbury Avenue is a charming Victorian supported living home located in Ealing, West London. We are committed to helping every individual we support through a holistic approach to care. We have extensive knowledge and experience of assisting people with epilepsy, acquired brain injury, mental health issues, autism, and other complex needs.
Our passion is to support people to develop their skills and achieve their future goals. We aim to enable the individuals we support at Gunnersbury Avenue to work towards moving into their own property, or back home. The team work proactively with each individual we support to develop or relearn life skills such as cooking and household maintenance, financial skills as well as learning to develop coping strategies for times of anxiety. Individuals are supported to participate in meaningful activities of their choice that will maintain their skills and improve their confidence.
The care we provide is bespoke to each person, as we understand no two people are the same, therefore we encourage them to be fully involved in the development of their individual person-centred plan. This enables us to provide the best possible care for them, reflecting their wants and needs, supporting them to grow and learn, and reach their full potential.
People living at Gunnersbury Avenue can access the community with staff if needed and we can also help people to build their confidence to enable them to go out alone. They are encouraged to research job opportunities to further promote their independence and we have established links with the mental health support networks in our area along with epilepsy and LGBTQ+ groups.
