A supported living care service, offering specialist care to young adults.
Cedars is based in Beddington, Croydon and offers specialist support and care to young adults aged 17 years and above. Our primary focus is to ensure our residents are cared for to the highest standards, we work closely with the people we support to improve their confidence and manage their anxieties, providing them with the skills to progress towards more independent living.
At Cedars we work closely with young adults providing them with the highest quality care. We support our residents helping them to manage their conditions and to improve their confidence, control their anxieties and provide them with the skills needed to progress towards more independent living on an individual basis.
We understand the transition process from children to adult services can be difficult and so our aim is to support people through the transition and the years that follow. We help young adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities, personality disorders and autism to learn life skills in a safe and proactive environment. We endeavour to enable our young adults to learn these skills slowly by taking on the responsibility of tasks such as maintaining a household budget, cooking as well as coaching people in making decisions and communicating their needs. We support people towards future pathways through setting life goals which will set them on their transition to independent living.
