What does a Live-in Carer do?
As a Live-in Carer you’ll be providing specialised care to service users with an acquired spinal chord injury or acquired brain injury. We’ll place you at the heart of the services and design bespoke packages of care around users care needs and personal preferences. You’ll deliver one on one support to people within their own homes, helping them with personal tasks and activities, so that they can live an independent and active life. It’s all about building meaningful relationships that last a lifetime, helping people live the best life possible.
Companionship
As a Live-in Carer you'll be someone's lifeline and best friend, providing them comfort and daily support.
Personal Care
Sometimes you'll have to help our services users with daily activities such as bathing, dressing and brushing their teeth.
Medication
You'll support our service users with the administration of medication as and when required as in their care plan.
Running Errands
Accompanying service users on their errands such as the weekly shop, helping them to be as independent as possible.
Meal Preperation
You will help with the preparation and cooking of meals, this is a great way to bond with your service user.
Domestic Duties
There will be times where you'll be required to carry out basic domestic duties such as laundry, washing cutlery and vacuuming.
Mobility Assistance
Some service users will require assistance getting around, you'll be there to support them helping them when needed.
Clinical Support
You'll be supported by a multi-disciplinary team including therapists, nurses, psychologists and doctors.
