Staff and residents from Kingly Terrace hosted an open day with a Hawaiian theme on Wednesday 24 January! The residents and staff had a lot of fun dressing up in Hawaiian shirts and wearing traditional lei around their necks. They also enjoyed playing games like ‘hook the duck’.

There were also cakes, and drinks served in coconuts, for everyone to enjoy, all while showing off the newly-refurbished service and answering any questions people had (both about Kingly Terrace and Hawaii!). Northamptonshire has never looked this colourful!

The recent works at the service included new flooring and rooms being redecorated.

Councillor Barbara Jenney  and Councillor Gill Mercer from Rushden Town Council joined in the fun too!

Tina Colley, Service Manager at Kingly Terrace, said:

“The open day was such a wonderful success. I appreciate the amazing effort from all of my team. The feedback we received by all those who attended made me very proud. The passion and hunger of all my staff for innovation is inspiring.

“All the team ensure our residents reside in a comfortable environment that they can call home, and this was once again clear for everyone to see.

“Thank you to everyone who attended. We hope you visit our service again soon.”

We hope everyone had a wonderful time viewing the new and improved service.
