According to the world economic forum, just 35% of the leadership roles in the global health care industry are held by women, making ACG’s almost all-female senior management team relatively unusual here at Active Care Group, we are proud to uphold a female-dominant work industry. International Women’s Day is the day to celebrate the successful women in our business, whilst raising awareness against bias and acting for equality for women all over the world. The fact that only 35% of roles in the healthcare industry are held by women promotes inequality, and one step at a time we plan on forging an all-inclusive society.
Active Care Group stands in solidarity with women’s rights, and we #ChooseToChallenge by posting our photographs with our hands held high to show our commitment to the cause. To get started, our inspirational CEO Ruth Smith has reflected on what International Women’s Day means for Active Care Group, ‘As a passionate female leader of this business I am proud of everyone’s achievement in recognising gender equality and diversity, this is something we promote through each part of our organisation. At ACG we recognise the importance that equality plays in fostering a creative and innovative successful organisation. On this day I want to continue to champion achievements of women in our own organisation and across the world.’
