Last week they celebrated World Occupational Therapy Day at Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre in Kent!

To mark the day, Occupational Therapist Rosi organised a special event where the team took on a one-handed sandwich-making challenge! This hands-on activity showcased how OT adaptive equipment can make everyday tasks easier — particularly in meal preparation.

It was heart-warming to see such a diverse team come together, from our business support manager and laundry assistant to our healthcare assistants, lead therapists, and physios. A patient and a visiting relative also joined in as onlookers cheered them on, observing how everyone managed with their non-dominant hand.

Occupational therapy empowers individuals to live independently and meaningfully, and events like these help us appreciate its role in supporting those goals.

A big thanks to all who participated, especially the catering team and physios for helping set up this memorable activity!
