Every career begins with an experience or a moment that stays with you. For Renatus, that moment appeared in the heart of his own community, where he began his professional journey dedicated to personal care and support. What started as a job quickly became his future and Renatus’s work was all about helping individuals live with dignity and compassion.

Before joining Active Care Group, and before even living in the UK, Renatus lived and worked in India working closely with elderly individuals many of whom were mistreated or neglected by their families. His role extended far beyond providing care; he offered companionship and a listening ear. Whether it was through meaningful conversations or simply being there for someone, he let people know they were not alone. Even in his day-to-day life; walking, riding his motorbike, or driving around the town, if he saw someone physically or visually challenged, he would stop without hesitation and ensure they reached their destination safely.

This genuine dedication followed him when he moved to the UK. Renatus continued in the personal care field, working as a Support Worker in a new and diverse environment. He adapted quickly, learning different care practices and understanding new cultural ways of living all whilst holding onto the compassion and resilience that had always driven him.

From January 2, 2024, to May 21, 2024, Renatus worked at Kingly House, our neuro residential service based in Leicestershire, as a Support Worker where he deepened his expertise and further demonstrated his commitment to quality care.

Renatus has been able to develop his career at Active Care Group and in May 2024 he moved into the talent team taking on the role of Talent Acquisition Partner. It was not a light decision as Renatus really enjoyed his time as a Support Worker, but when the opportunity presented itself, Renatus knew he could bring a wealth of knowledge into finding the best talent in care for our organisation and the time felt right for change. He brought with him a powerful set of transferable skills: empathy, communication, organisation, and a deep understanding of what makes an exceptional caregiver. These qualities made him uniquely equipped to find and connect with candidates who align with Active Care Group’s employer brand and professional reputation.

Today, Renatus plays a key role in shaping the future of care at Active Care Group by identifying and recruiting individuals who share the same passion he once brought to the role himself.

Renatus’s journey is an example of how embracing change can lead to unexpected career growth.
