At Foxley Lane, our learning disabilities and autism residential service in Croydon, we are committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy, and empowered to live the best life possible.

By working closely with each individual, our colleagues can help build their skill set and become more independent in everyday life.

One such recent example was Charlie, one of the individuals we support. Charlie is a big fan of the singer Daniel O’Donnell, and his bedroom is personalised with memorabilia of the singer.

After staff discovered that Daniel was due to perform in the local area, colleagues at Foxley Lane got to work booking and organising a trip.

Foxley Lane Support Worker Vahinish made sure Charlie’s parents were involved and kept informed about the plans to and from the concert hall.

Once there, Charlie had a great time and got to see and hear songs such as “Footsteps” and “My Forever Friend”

Upon returning to Foxley Lane, Charlie had a beaming smile for the rest of the night – his wish to see a live performance by his favourite artist became a reality!
