Recently, our Chief Executive Keith Browner and the rest of our executive team toured some of our services in the north of England.
“I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the Northern based services who hosted the Exec team and me last week. It’s really important to me that my team get out and about to visit our services, that we meet our amazing colleagues, that you get to know us and of course for us to witness the exceptional care that you deliver. The team regularly visit sites individually, however this was a great opportunity for us to do so as a whole team,” — Keith Browner, Chief Executive, Active Care Group.
Throughout the tour they were thrilled to see just how much positivity there was in all the areas they visited. The key message the team were delivering is that they are there to help and support all our colleagues and services to do their very best each and every day.
It was also fantastic for them to have the opportunity to spend time with some of our residents. They received a couple of suggestions from residents that would improve their lives — for example increasing the number of resident vehicles across the Lancashire sites to aid in resident activities, which is something the executive team are going to look into over the coming weeks and months.
“Thank you to the Chester-based Jane Lewis and care in the home teams, Blackburn Road, Oswald House, Whalley Road, Northern Case Management and to TBL Case Management and to everyone who helped organise and host us over these three days,” — Keith Browner, Chief Executive, Active Care Group.
“It was amazing to be able to meet colleagues from all our divisions across the three days. We had some great discussions and were given ideas for improvement which we will definitely take forward. A huge thank you to everyone who took time out of their days to chat to us. There is so much passion in this business and it was wonderful to see it all first-hand!” — Karen Langton, Chief People Officer, Active Care Group.
“It was great to be able to showcase our homes to our executive members. These homes have come such a long way on their journey since joining Active Care Group in 2022, their environments are looking fabulous since their refurbishments — it’s the little extras they have put in place to make everything so homely for their residents. I was particularly proud to see our residents showing this off with pride and interacting with all the visitors. Overall just a lovely day!” — Lisa Cairns, Managing Director for the North Region, Active Care Group.
The executive team are looking forward to their next roadshow to a different part of the country!
