COVID-19 Update

Message from our CEO.

As these challenging times continue and we move into winter, we are continuing to operate in accordance with our revised practices in order to keep our Service users and staff safe. Our absolute priority continues to be the wellbeing of Service users right across the UK. In the regions experiencing higher levels of Covid-19 we are working carefully within the requirements of any local restrictions that are in place, whilst continuing to provide our services in a safe and effective way.

The senior team across ACG is committed to supporting our divisions through this difficult period. Every day we monitor to ensure that they have the right resources, Service users are well and safe, staff are supported and quality is maintained. We monitor Government guidance daily and enact it immediately with the Bronze command team in place. Our staff are working tirelessly to ensure the safety of our Service users as well as supporting their wellbeing during this unprecedented time.

Further to the scientific guidance and the latest requirements announced by the Government and First Ministers during the week of 21st September, we continue to ensure that across our four divisions and the central support teams we are meeting the requirements to keep everyone as safe as possible in these difficult times. Our pandemic plan remains fully operational, along with a specific focus on the management of flu and other seasonal-related conditions.  In addition to supporting the physical wellbeing of our people and service users we are also focussing on their mental wellbeing.  Supporting mental and emotional wellbeing as we turn into winter will prove an important aspect of managing the seasonal transition.  We do not underestimate the toll that Covid-19 has taken on all of us and we will continue to deliver the high levels of support which we pride ourselves on.

Finally, I would like to say thank you to the families and friends of our service users, patients and clients.  Your continued support of our people and our local visiting policies is appreciated by us all.  We know how difficult it is but you can be assured that your loved ones are in safe hands.
