Chislehurst Neurological Rehabilitation Centre recently marked a significant milestone by celebrating their first birthday. Since opening its doors a year ago, they have provided essential care to patients, supporting them on their path to recovery and helping them live more fulfilling lives. To commemorate this important occasion, a special event was held, bringing together residents, their families, and colleagues from across Active Care Group (ACG).
The celebration featured a delicious buffet, beautifully adorned bunting, and a birthday cake that added a special touch to the day — complete with candles that blown out by the Service Manager, Jacqueline Henry-Carr. It was a wonderful moment to mark a year of hard work, dedication, and success.
The event not only celebrated the achievements of the past year but also looked ahead to the future. Co-produced with the residents, the party provided an opportunity for everyone to come together, reflect on their shared accomplishments, and discuss plans for Chislehurst’s ongoing development. The residents played an integral role in shaping the day, and the positive atmosphere reflected their enthusiasm and engagement.
This celebration was more than just a party — it was also a chance to strengthen connections and raise awareness. The team there recognised that while they are still early in their journey, there is great potential to grow their reputation within ACG and with external partners who may refer new residents to Chislehurst. The event welcomed colleagues, healthcare professionals, and partners to learn more about the work being done at the Centre, meet the staff, and engage with the residents.
