We are thrilled to announce that Jacqueline Henry-Carr, the Service Manager at Chislehurst Neurological Rehabilitation Centre, has recently achieved her master’s degree in rehabilitation. Jacqueline achieved this through an online part-time course, funded by the Active Care Group’s academic qualification funding program. She started her course in 2021 and successfully completed it in February 2024. She celebrated here graduation a couple of weeks ago!
Jacqueline’s accomplishment is a testament to her unwavering commitment and passion for rehabilitation. Reflecting on her journey, Jacqueline said, “It’s nice now to have the time to reflect on the effort and time needed to achieve this, as I was anxious at first to return to studying after getting my initial degree in 2006. I am thankful for all the support I received from family (especially patience from my husband and 5-year-old son), friends, work colleagues, and university staff. I would not have been able to achieve this without them.”
Throughout her studies, Jacqueline has been trying to implement what she’s learned into practice at work. As a lead physiotherapist, she applied her knowledge by thoughtfully considering how and when to share information with caregivers about fall management. Additionally, she collaborated with her team to explore and implement health promotion strategies for both staff and patients.
In her current role as Service Manager at Chislehurst, Jacqueline has been instrumental in spearheading projects that support the service’s growth. Her leadership and innovative approach are pivotal as they prepare to celebrate its first anniversary later this year.
Jacqueline’s dedication and achievement inspire us all at Active Care Group. We are incredibly proud of her and look forward to seeing her continue to make a profound impact on the lives of everyone at Chislehurst. Congratulations, Jacqueline, on your well-deserved success!
