Active Care Group’s Care in the Home division are taking on four different Race for Life challenges this Summer to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Race for Life is Cancer Research UK’s biggest series of fundraising events. The race has been taking place up and down the country since 1994 to raise vital funds for life-saving cancer treatment. There are three-, five- and ten-kilometre options to race, and anyone and everyone is welcome to take part.
Over thirty colleagues in our Care in the Home division will be taking part in multiple Race for Life challenges over the coming weeks. The team are hoping to raise £1,500 for Cancer Research UK.
Sally Kimberley, Managing Director of the Care in the Home division, is doing all four of the races to support and motivate the group. Multiple members of the group will be joining her across the different races.
After completing the first race in Birmingham recently, Sally said, “I am lucky to be surrounded by a team at Active Care Group – Care in the Home who want to make a difference. Around the route today we were able to see how every penny counts towards one day finding a cure. To play a small part in that is so rewarding. Bournemouth Race for Life next!”
Once the Bournemouth race has been completed on the 16th June, the next races will take place in Cheshire and London.
Good luck to all of our colleagues taking part!
