Care in the home are hiring! Come and meet the team at a variety of upcoming job fairs.

Our care in the home colleagues are busy prepping for a plethora of job fairs over the coming months.

With over 25 years of specialised expertise, this division of Active Care Group excels in delivering top-tier complex care to individuals within the comfort of their own homes, but with an ever-growing department, comes a large-scale hiring project.

Our clients’ locations are widespread across the UK, so our care managers are heading out to job fairs far and wide to talk to potential candidates about how they can join us for a fulfilling and rewarding career.

Speaking with Rachel Whittaker, Care Manager for the north regions, she explains the importance of going to job fairs. “Within care in the home, it is important for us as care managers to attend job fairs as we know what our clients’ needs are and therefore we know what to look for in a support worker.

“We are able to speak to potential support workers about the amazing opportunities we have and the career progression. I started as a support worker and moved up to care manager, so I can use this to show people the potential within ACG.”

Diane Simpson, Senior Care Manager for the south, recently went to a jobs fair in Bristol, where she collated 41 candidates for our Talent Team to follow up with and also made connections for other job fairs and events while networking. Overall, Diane said the event went really well and she will continue to be representing care in the home at another two booked events in the coming months.

The character and the personality of our support workers is something we greatly value in the hiring process. The working relationship between client and support worker is key to that strong and professional bond.

Here in this video, we meet Robert’s support worker Aleks.  She talks about why she works as a support worker within Active Care Group.

The great advantage of working with us in this field, is that you do not need experience. Full training is provided on how to deal with your client’s needs, so if care is something you have thought about in the past, we can support you in the learning needed to become competent in your role.
