A rating of ‘Good’ from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) reflects a commitment to high standards, quality care, and continuous improvement. Recently, both Bethany House and Bethany Lodge, our residential living care services in Kent for those with epilepsy, brain injuries and degenerative illnesses, have attained this in their most recent inspections, carried out in March. The reports highlight the improvements being made at both services, congratulations to the teams! 

Bethany House

Upgraded to ‘Good’ since their last inspection, the latest report highlights several key areas where Bethany House excels:

Safe care and treatment: The report noted that Bethany House ensures a safe environment for its residents. Safety protocols are meticulously followed, and staff are well-trained to handle any emergencies effectively.

Effective management: The leadership at Bethany House was commended for its strategic approach to care management. The staff are supported through ongoing training and professional development, ensuring they are equipped to provide the best care possible.

Caring staff: One of the standout points in the report was the genuine compassion exhibited by the staff. Residents and their families expressed high levels of satisfaction with the care provided, emphasising the staff’s dedication and kindness.

Responsive services: Bethany House has demonstrated an ability to adapt to the needs of its residents. Whether it is through personalised care plans or responsive health interventions, the service ensures each resident’s needs are met promptly and effectively.

Bethany Lodge

Retaining their ‘Good rating, key highlights from their report include:
Safe environment: Similar to Bethany House, Bethany Lodge ensures safety is a top priority. Rigorous health and safety checks are conducted regularly, and staff are vigilant in maintaining a secure environment.

Effective care practices: The effectiveness of care at Bethany Lodge is evident in the positive health outcomes for residents. The report commends the comprehensive care plans and the seamless coordination with healthcare professionals.

Compassionate care: The caring nature of the staff at Bethany Lodge shines through in the report. Residents feel valued and respected, which significantly enhances their quality of life.
