Active Care Group are delighted to be supporting Day One Trauma Support’s Major Trauma Awareness Week for a second year, taking place 15th – 21st September 2025. The awareness week, which is  sponsored by Active Care Group’s Case Management division and our technology-enhanced Neurorehabilitation division, Active Neuro, was started by Day One Trauma Support to raise awareness of major trauma and the long-term and complex impact it has on people’s lives.

Day One Trauma Support are a charity that aims to make sure vital support is available to those who have experienced major trauma and they are the chosen charity of the year for Active Care Group’s Case Management division.

To launch Major Trauma Awareness Week, members of the Exec Team and colleagues attended a reception at The Lowry Theatre in Manchester on the 9th September. It was a fantastic evening reconnecting with the Day One Trauma Support team and networking with those who share this charity as a common interest.

Keith Browner, Chief Executive Officer at Active Care Group said, “It was a privilege to attend an event filled with individuals so deeply committed to raising awareness for such an essential cause. Connecting with the team behind the charity was truly inspiring and served as a powerful reminder of why it’s so important for us, as an organisation, to champion the incredible work they do.”

On Thursday 18th September as part of the campaign and our ongoing support, we will be participating in Day One Trauma Support ‘Go Orange’ day, in which we will be donning our best orange clothing and donating to raise money and awareness. We encourage you to take part and share your photos on social media, using the hashtag #GoOrangeforDayOne and donating to the charity.
