We are delighted to announce the appointments of Glen Bristol as Operations Director for Hospitals and John Fletcher as Operations Director for the South Region.
With over 25 years of experience in healthcare, Glen brings a wealth of expertise to Active Care Group. His career spans clinical positions, training and education delivery, leadership, and operational roles.
Glen shared his excitement for his new role, saying:

“I’ve worked in various senior roles with St Andrews, Priory, Caretech, and InMind Healthcare, focusing on improving care quality, driving positive changes, and collaborating with regulators like NHS England and the Care Quality Commission (CQC). I’m passionate about building strong teams, delivering better patient outcomes, and ensuring we provide the highest standards of care.”

John Fletcher, a healthcare professional with 36 years of experience, joins Active Care Group with an impressive background in senior nursing, operational, and quality and governance roles. A registered general nurse for 32 years, John has specialised training in ophthalmology and accident and emergency nursing, which complements his MSc in people and organisational development.
Reflecting on his appointment, John said:
“I have worked in similar roles for the last 20 years overseeing clinical and operational services. I have a master’s degree in people and organisational development and truly believe the success of an organisation is dependent on its staff.
“In the more recent past, I have worked as an independent contractor in senior management or transformational roles, providing significant improvement in quality and performance across urgent and emergency care. I’ve led on many CQC improvement plans and supported teams to improve their ratings, along with improving patient experience and outcomes.
“I am delighted to be joining ACG and hope that my years of experience in senior management and leadership roles will assist me in supporting the local teams to deliver the highest quality of care to all of our users.”
John’s proven track record in transforming services and improving care quality will undoubtedly enhance the group’s efforts to provide outstanding outcomes for patients, residents and our teams alike.
