Active Care Group is pleased to announce that John Ward has been appointed the new Hospital Director at Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre.

Blackheath, based in Southeast London, provides specialist inpatient rehabilitation for people with an acquired brain injury or other complex neurological conditions.

With 22 years of experience in healthcare, primarily within operating departments, John will bring a diverse range of expertise to his role as Hospital Director. John’s background includes the positions of Clinical Director and Registered Manager, where he developed his skills in governance, regulatory standards, commercial supply chain, and operational frameworks.

Before joining Active Care Group, John was Head of Service at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability in Putney, London. John led service delivery projects at the Royal Hospital, implemented efficiencies, and championed a strong organisational culture.

John emphasises the importance of collaborative teamwork as he takes on this new role. “I am excited to join Active Care Group as Hospital Director for Blackheath, especially at such a dynamic and promising time for the organisation. I am passionate about not only delivering excellence through an outstanding service but also enhancing the well-being of our patients”.
