Colleagues across Active Care Group came together to celebrate the summer with a BBQ on Saturday. At Hampton Court Golf Club in London, the gardens were packed with games, activities and of course, plenty of food and refreshments.
Colleagues and their families were invited to join the day and the children in attendance were able to make the most of a bouncy castle, hook a duck and coconut shy, mechanical bull and surfboard, plus an ice cream van serving delicious sweet treats.
Our Executive Team hosted the BBQ with Chief Executive Officer Keith Browner representing his South African heritage through the traditional dish, Boerewors.
It wouldn’t have been a BBQ if there wasn’t a little bit of rain, but the classic British weather didn’t put anyone off, and the Executive Team continued to serve up food with smiles on their faces. Luckily the rain didn’t last too long and soon they were enjoying the afternoon in sunshine once again.
Colleagues were entertained with musicians playing the steelpan and many won small prizes on the garden games. More than a few even took the opportunity to have a go on the bouncy castle.
The BBQ was a great chance for colleagues to spend time together outside of work and get to know others. We’re looking forward to hosting more events in the future.
