Active Care Group is proud to share that 94% of its services inspected by quality regulators over the past year either maintained or were upgraded to ‘Good’ overall rating, or the equivalent.

Over the past two years, significant investment has been made across Active Care Group to enhance the quality of care through targeted improvements to service environments, staffing, and digital infrastructure. Refurbishment projects have transformed many of our care settings, creating more comfortable, safe, and therapeutic spaces for the individuals we support, patients, residents and clients.

At the same time, we have strengthened our workforce with increased recruitment, comprehensive training, and leadership development to ensure our teams are well-equipped to deliver consistently high standards of care.

Upgrades to our digital systems have improved clinical oversight, streamlined communication, and enabled more responsive, data-informed decision-making across services. Together, these investments reflect our ongoing commitment to quality, safety, and innovation.

The inspections were carried out by our national regulators, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Ofsted, Care Inspectorate Wales, Healthcare Improvement Scotland, and the Care Inspectorate in Scotland.

The inspections spanned across many of our services:

Neurorehabilitation and Neuro Residential

Care Quality Commission (CQC):

Healthcare Improvement Scotland:

Children and Young People – Residential

Ofsted

Learning Disabilities and Autism – Residential and Supported Living

In addition to formal inspections, Active Care Group invested in mock inspections led by various external organisations. These inspections replicate and closely mirror real-world assessments, providing objective feedback and supporting continuous quality improvement without introducing internal bias.

“This commitment to quality is embedded across the Group,” said Keith Browner, Chief Executive Officer of Active Care Group. “94% of services that were inspected have maintained or been upgraded to ‘Good’ or the equivalent.it is a direct reflection of the compassion, professionalism, and drive of our teams across the country.”
