Dr Sylvia Tang
Chief Executive Officer
Sylvia joined the business in 2020 and has experience at board level since 2006 in both the NHS and independent health and social care organisations. Before joining, Sylvia was Chief Executive of Priory Healthcare, where she was for 5 years and was previously the Medical Director and Deputy Chief Executive at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust.
Chief Financial Officer
As a Chartered Management Accountant Katy has held senior finance positions over the last 15 years with a particular focus on growing organisations both organically and through acquisition.
Having spent a period of her career within Corporate Development she focuses on delivering the organisation's strategy and maximising opportunities for growth.
Dr Amlan Basu
Chief Medical Officer
Amlan joined the business in late 2015, and his roles include that of Responsible Officer and Caldicott Guardian. Prior to this appointment, Amlan was Clinical Director of Broadmoor Hospital where he was also a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist.
Having graduated in medicine from University College London, Amlan completed his specialist training in psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital. He held an honorary contract at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London for over 17 years, publishing a number of research papers in the fields of genetics, psychopharmacology and service development. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and has served on its Forensic Faculty Executive Committee. He has been a member of the Expert Witness Institute for over 8 years and has provided expert evidence in a number of high profile cases.
Amlan is a Non-Executive Director at an NHS Trust and is a Member of the Engagement and Involvement Advisory Board at the THIS Institute (The Health Foundation / University of Cambridge).
Chief Operating Officer
Warren began his career in mental health as a Healthcare Assistant in 1996. He went on to obtain a degree in Psychology at the University of Bangor in Wales. After finishing his degree, Warren managed hospitals across the country, more recently working as Chief Operating Officer and Acting Chief Executive for a large mental health charity and Chief Operating Officer for a large Mental Health provider.
Warren’s motivation throughout his career has always been making a difference to people’s lives.
Chief Commercial Officer
Adrian joined the group in 2016 and is experienced at a senior leadership level across a range of sectors delivering business growth and improvement as commercial, operations or finance director. Much of his career has been in FTSE 250 business and prior to joining the group was most recently focussed across adult social care, education and customer support.
Adrian is qualified as a Chartered Accountant and has a Masters degree in Engineering and Management from the University of Birmingham
Chief People Officer
Karen has recently joined the business in the role of Chief People Officer. Karen joined from The Priory Group where she fulfilled the role of Group HR Director. Karen also acts as a Governor at the Hammersmith Academy with particular focus on the Retention and Curriculum Committees.
Completing her degree at the University of Leicester in 2002 and becoming CIPD qualified in 2006, Karen has expanded her knowledge working in HR; in a range of advisory, management and senior positions. A strong leader, Karen boasts extensive experience in both integration and acquisitions.
Director of Risk & Governance
Kevin joined the group in 2021 as Director of Risk and Governance. Kevin began his career as a mental health nurse and has extensive experience working in health and social care in a range of senior management roles. Having graduated with a Diploma in Management Studies from Middlesex University, Kevin continued his professional development by completing the NHS Company Secretaries Development Programme.
He has a detailed understanding and in-depth knowledge of NHS regulatory requirements and corporate governance having worked in the NHS as a Trust Company Secretary and prior to joining spent 3 years as the Director of Governance at the Priory Group. Kevin is also currently a CQC Specialist Advisor.
Director of Quality
Natasha joined the business as Director of Quality in 2021 from her previous role as Director of Quality for Priory Healthcare. Before this, Natasha held the position of Head of Hospital Inspection for Mental Health for the CQC in the South.
Beginning her career as a social worker, Natasha progressed to become Head of Social Care and Head of the AMPH team at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, an integrated Health & Social Care Trust.
Mark joined the business in 2007, and is now our Finance Director.
He qualified as a chartered accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 2001 and joined Four Seasons Health Care in 2005.
Mark is responsible for, among much else, plotting the strategic development of services and negotiating contracts with the NHS.
Director of Organisational Development
Marlene joined the company in 2016. Her working life began in HR at Sodexo, before she moved to become director of organisational development for a facilities management outsourcing company in 2005.
In 2010 she moved into healthcare, and latterly, as regional account director, she looked after all of Serco’s healthcare sites in Scotland.
Managing Director - South
Marc joined the business as Commercial Director in October 2018 having worked for several market leading healthcare businesses, covering a range of specialisms including complex care, older peoples care, forensic care, GP led services and Nursing.
As Managing Director of the South, his role is to lead our teams to deliver outstanding levels of care to our clients, whilst creating a high quality, sustainable business
Marc’s passion for the sector stems from personal experience, and he uses this, coupled with his 14 years of commercial and sales leadership experience across several sectors, to help develop and challenge those around him to achieve.
Managing Director - Central
Before her role as Managing Director for the central region, Sharon held the position of Managing Director for the Residential Services division, overseeing specialist services for people with acquired brain injuries and learning disabilities.
Sharon’s career in care began 17 years ago when she switched career paths from the legal profession to work with one of the UK’s largest providers of Adult Social Care.
Sharon’s role has evolved from direct management of care delivery across mental health, substance misuse and learning disability sectors into senior management, operational and development roles.
Managing Director - North
Lisa joined the group in 2021 as Managing Director for the North Region. Lisa began her career in Healthcare initially as a HCA and after graduating with a 1st class (Hons) in nursing from University of Northampton, started her journey as a Registered Mental Health Nurse specialising in working with women in secure settings and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
Since then she has worked in a host of other areas including Adult Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism. Prior to joining the Group, Lisa was Regional Managing Director for a leading UK Mental Health charity where she demonstrated experience of effective operational leadership as well as strategic management across a number of services.
With her strong clinical background, Lisa’s primary focus has always been on ensuring services deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes.
