Recently, some of our executive team had the privilege of visiting several of our services in the North East. Chief Executive Officer Keith Browner, Chief Financial Officer Katy Lineker, Chief Operating Officer Mike Aldridge, Chief Commercial Officer Adrian Harrison, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Amit Chatterjee and Chief People Officer, Karen Langton took part in a two-day roadshow across our residential, case management, and finance departments. It provided them with a firsthand view of the incredible work being done, the innovative practices in place, and the unbelievable passion of our teams.
From start to finish, the experience was engaging, enlightening, and, most importantly, humbling. Here’s a glimpse into what made their tour so special.
Day one: a warm welcome and outstanding teams
Their first stop was at JSP Case Management in Corbridge, where Business Director Andrew Patterson and the team gave the exec team an insightful tour of their operation and impressive new office space. Their dedication to client satisfaction and quality shone through in every aspect of their work. The exec team said it was clear that JSP team’s passion and expertise are driving exceptional results. Everyone was excited about the opportunities ahead for continued collaboration and growth.
Next, they visited the outstanding Neural Pathways team at their stunning new location in Gateshead. From the moment they arrived, it was clear why they are market leaders. The modern facilities and innovative approaches they employ make a meaningful difference in the patient experience. Neural Pathways’ openness in sharing their strategies and challenges was refreshing, and the exec team left with a deep admiration for their work.
The day concluded at Kibblesworth Neurological Rehabilitation Centre in Gateshead, where they were warmly welcomed by Service Manager Kayleigh Wonnacott and her incredible team. Their professionalism and enthusiasm were immediately evident, as was their commitment to delivering outstanding care. The exec team heard about how Kibblesworth are adapting to future challenges was inspiring and gave valuable insights into their success.
Day two: innovation and dedication in action
Day two began at Burbank Mews, our residential care service for adults with learning disabilities in Hartlepool, where Service Manager Jamie Alderson and the team showcased not only the excellent care they provide but also the exciting plans for the future. The exec team enjoyed discussing how we can further enhance the business to ensure it remains future-proof, and it was clear the Burbank Mews team will embrace these opportunities with open arms.
They then visited Granville Lodge, our children’s complex care service, which is also in Hartlepool, which was brimming with Halloween spirit. The decorations were a delight (even if they led to a few scares!) and clearly brought joy to the children. The team’s passion for their work was evident in every interaction. Their dedication left the exec team feeling humbled and proud of all they achieve.
Just around the corner, they then viewed a recently purchased property that will further strengthen our position as the UK’s number one complex care provider. This addition is an exciting step forward for Active Care Group.
At Norton Court House, our children’s complex care service in Stockton-on-Tees, Service Manager Stevie Daley and her team amazed the exec team with their remarkable achievements and transformation in such a short time. The hard work and dedication that went into revitalising the service were clear, and the exec team are immensely grateful for their efforts.
The final stop on the tour was the shared office of CCMS Case Management and the Active Care Group finance team in Darlington. Over a fantastic lunch, they engaged in a listening forum and Q&A session with both teams. It was an excellent opportunity for Chief Executive Officer Keith Browner to share more about our vision and strategy and for to hear valuable feedback directly from the teams.
Reflections on an inspiring journey
This roadshow was more than a series of visits — it was a celebration of the dedication, professionalism, and innovation that drive our teams. Each stop left the exec team with new ideas, a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities ahead, and a renewed sense of pride in being part of the Active Care Group family.
From the outstanding hospitality to the countless cups of tea, coffee, biscuits, and cake, every moment reinforced the incredible culture within our organisation. Thank you to everyone who made the North East roadshow a resounding success. Your passion and commitment are what make Active Care Group the leader in complex care.
